How To Recycle Used Games and Used DVDs
Recycling your used games and used DVDs may never have occurred to you. It is a great idea, though. These disks may not be big but people use many, many of them every year. When they get thrown out they sit in a landfill, piling up. Think about how many used games and used DVDs you have in your house. Now imagine everyone has that much or more. It would not be too great if everyone threw out their games and DVDs, now would it? That would add up fast, Instead of throwing them in the trash - why not recycle? Here's a list of ways you can recycle your used games and used DVDs.
Make Them Over
Make them into something new. There are many ideas for reusing these disks. You can glue felt on one side and use them as unique costars. You can make a mobile by string them up and attaching to a coat hanger. You can put your kids picture in the center hole and cover the back to make a neat magnet or picture frame. There are many more ideas besides those, but you can see how easy it is to find something new to do with them
Make Money from Them
Sell them. Used games are especially in demand. People do not throw out something that cost them so much money. These days games cost around $60 on average. You can usually sell them for more than half of what you paid. With how fast kids tire of games you can save yourself a lot of money by reselling them.
You can also sell DVD's. These disks have a long life span and you will usually tire of them long before they wear out. Why not let someone else enjoy them? Most people will gladly pay a lower price for something used rather than buying it brand new.
As you can see, throwing out a used game or used DVD is just not a smart idea. You can even make money on them. It just makes more sense to either reuse them in some creative fashion or to sell them. It is not hard to set up an online selling account to sell them at an auction site. Reusing them is fun and simple, too. The durable nature makes them great no matter how you choose to recycle them.
